So, you’ve heard people saying “Data is the new oil” or you’ve attended some Tech meetups and you heard one of the speakers say “Data is life”.

I am not going to talk about why data is the new oil or why data is life, I will talk about where it is actually needed and how you can train machines with data.

How did the journey start?

“Life is a journey picture”

I attended the “the largest tech conference in West Africa” (might not be the largest but that’s what it was tagged; …winks…), the third edition of Techpoint Inspired on the 1st of June 2019.

Before registering to participate in the program, I’ve been thinking about what would be the “Take away” after the program, then I realized “ Artificial Intelligence and Robotics” is one of the workshops and my appetite got increased.

Bayo Adekanmbi was one of the speakers during the AI session, he gave a great speech and highlighted the benefits associated with AI/ML (Most especially the salary part). His speech inspired me to even want to spend the rest of my life learning how these things work.

After the programme, I was curious to find out and inquisitive to learn more about AI and ML.

I checked out some courses on Udemy, EDX, PluralSight to see which one would get me on the right path so fast (I don’t have much time as I have other things to do and survive).

Luckily for me, I came across a tweet from Akintude Sultan(Name cannot be blank) as shown below;

Immediately, I jumped for joy, I clicked the link and landed on Infinite Red Academy website and I asked myself, could this be one of those platforms that assumes you have 100 years of experience working with a topic but you’re only looking for some advanced refresher? (More than one sight)

Well, there’s nothing bad in finding out, at least I would only waste few minutes and continue my quest for knowledge on other platforms till I can a particular course that would put me on the right using the ABC model (Accurate, Brief & Concise).

I realized that Infinite Red have a 5-day demo free course AI demystified: 5-day Mini-course to test the waters.

I enrolled for the free course, and it’s one of the most interesting courses about AI/ML that you’d see on the internet; It is short, straight to the point, clear and pragmatic.

After the 5-day mini-course, I was awarded a certificate of completion and I was anxious to get the full course (Which I later got, thanks to Jamon Holmgren and the entire Infinite Red Team).

So, I will be writing a summary about what I learned during the 5 days of taking the mini-course and I would also summarize the things I learned while taking the full course, trust me, I will make it short and concise;

Let’s go to Day 1 (A cup of coffee would be enough)!!!

let’s go
